Great Mentors Change Lives!

Great Mentors Change Lives!

The Lion Hearted Mentor!

Manish Rubdi!

It gives me  immense pride and a privilege for me to write about a personality; who for me over a very short period has left an indelible mark on my heart and mind! I am too small a person to write about such a personality who today stands out Tall, and strong amongst others as what I strongly call "Lion Hearted Mentors". I speak for none other than the ever smiling, ever helpful and ever supportive, soft-spoken and truly humble Mentor, Director and the very soul of Waltz Music Academy - Mr. Manish Rubdi.
The dictionary rightly defines in possibly every detail word what I have perceived and see what a True Lion Heart stand for -"Constantly challenging one self. Taking every single opportunity without regrets. Learning, developing and seeing beauty in all kinds of moments in life no matter how big/small they may be. Knowing what you're worth, treating yourself like you deserve to be treated. Simply, just being you and being brave. Like a lion you know, fight for what you stand for. A Lionheart would never give up on its dreams."

A lion hearted person can be classified with adjectives like brave, daring, bold, heroic, courageous, stalwart, resolute, intrepid, valiant, dauntless, valorous, and one who stand up not only for his own values and principles but protects those of all that he stand for and supports! all this and more is experienced when you meet Mr. Manish Rubdi Sir. I am sure that every "Waltzian" or those blessed students and members of the Waltz Music Academy - will vouch for what I say here, and it can be seen in the vibrancy, love, trust and firm resolve that each student has for their loved Mentor, and he has today rightfully gained that same trust, love and blessings from me as well.

I write this not as an advertisement or a simple article in my blog but out of true respect, awe and love for this wonderful person. What made me write about in brief about this wonderful personality is the impact he has created on my mind over a very short period of time, (maybe just over 3 months) of my coming to meet him, though I had heard a lot about him earlier. Words would not suffice to describe him and one needs to be be with him to experience the aura that he spreads amongst his students or rather family members that he calls them. Loving, caring, demanding yet protective, he is truly what one would look forward from a True mentor and Guardian, especially when he heads such a great and well-known Musical Academy like none other than the Waltz Music Academy! I can only imagine what a blessing it would be for the students of his academy to be and learn in his presence! In this small effort by me to highlight the wonderful qualities in Mr. Manish Rubdi Sir, I have added a few images which specifically mention those qualities.
Ever protective, and supportive of all his students, what is most noticeable and praiseworthy is the individual attention that is paid to each student. Special mention in the extra care that is taken for Girl students, ensuring that they go home in time, are escorted by either of their parents, and that they keep him informed after they even reach home from the class everyday. Rarely do we see this sort of closeness and personal care given to student who he rightly treats and call them "My Family - My Children". Salute this quality of this wonderful person.
Every student has to do his own hard work, which is always infused at the Academy, but the amount of personal inputs that Mr. Manish Sir puts in each student is worth a lifetime of experience. One touching word of re-assurance, a small pat on the back, a stern look that can run a chill down your spine, and those tear-filled eyes when his loved students perform to the best is what makes him the most loved and respected Mentor and Guru!
As rightly put by Winston Churchill in this image below and I quote " We make a living by what we get, we make a life out of what we give"- these strong words are all that we see in this Mentor- always giving, and expecting nothing in return but love, and the growth and betterment of his loved students!
He is one mentor who believes that if you have it in you and if there is a will, nothing is impossible and he will stand by you every moment of that journey!
Many adjectives and words can be used to visualize what you expect from a true mentor and Guru, but few Mentors stand up and deliver more than if not as much as you expect from them than Manish Sir!
I could keep writing so much about this wonderful personality, but will limit my post for now with what I feel every student of child in this Academy who he treats like his own child must or should be feeling about this great mentor who I dedicate this last image in what I see of this wonderful Mentor my self! In fact I am the happiest when my Daughter Mansi Kate who has the highest level of respect and love for Mr. Manish Rubdi Sir holds him in great awe and respects him equally like a father only too simply can be summed up in this image below!
Sir - You are a true HERO for all of the "Waltzians"
This only adds to my own respect and love for this wonderful person, when he met me during a tough phase in my life and at a time I was quite worried and concerned about my daughter in and he said - "You don't need to worry Mr. Kate - from today she is my daughter" - Those worlds not only relieved a huge load off my shoulder, but with tears in my eyes I knew that not only she but I had met a person rarely that we meet in life!

Needless to mention our heartfelt love and respects for love, and support always being extended by your son Kevin Rubdi,Mrs. Rachel Rubdi, and Renu Wadkar Ma'am, Major Uncle as he fondly called by all, and others who are truly and in every bit an integral part of this wonderful blessed family that we so lovingly call "Waltz Music Academy"!

Thank you Manish Sir, for being the person that you are! All I and all your wonderful students, (I am sure I can take the liberty on behalf of all your loved Waltzians) to say that we love you, respect you and pray to God that he blesses you with a long, Happy, prosperous, Healthy life and may you be always omnipresent with your "Children" to stay by them, be with them and Bless them on this great musical journey which you rightly presented in your last BTI Concert saying "Hum Bhi Chale Aapke Rah Par"!

Along the Way! - A Preface to Notes from My Diary!

Along the Way! - A Preface to Notes from My Diary!

Like this image and my writings may fade away as I do too, from your memories, the thoughts will always remain in our souls, which is immortal!
(Special Note: all Sketches including the one above have been created by me personally using MS-Paint in Windows Program! Hope you like them as there are quite a few that are going to roll out everyday!. Painstaking work, but so satisfying when it fulfills both my long lost passion of drawing, sketching with my modern skill of Blogging)

 Along the Way!
All along in life from the time we are born, to the time we meet the dust or ashes, for some - every day of our lives is an event that, for some is only another day in your lives. And for some it is a momentous event to be remembered for life. Every day may be a day of happiness – sadness, challenge – mediocre, fulfillment – unfulfilled dreams, pain – soothing, events, but somewhere in the back of our minds these memories remain etched.

As we tread the path of life, meeting each day as it comes those events take shape of a Diary of sorts which if introspected can become a moment of realization and fulfillment for some while for others a mere event to be read and passed by.

Over the years I have made several efforts to pen down these memories, but either they remained as mere pages or even got deleted both from memory and the modern day Book – the Computer in a sudden format, just like it sometimes happens in our lives too. For reasons maybe unknown to me at this moment of writing it dawned upon me to pen down the first page albeit not the last in my effort to create this Diary of Events in my life, Past, Present and continuous which I found would someday take the shape of a Book, which I had always dreamed of.

This diary follows no date, time or period during the course of my life, as I have penned down the events instantaneously as they came as a rush into my mind, triggered by some event that may have occurred on that day of writing. Sometimes things happen in life for a reason and today; the day I started penning down my thoughts was maybe for some silly reason that I had exhausted my Internet Plan and was not able to renew it for some time, reason good enough and happily too, for the start of this Diary. I am sure the events in this Diary my touch the lives of many in some way or the other, and if even one event can be reason for inspiration to even one of my readers , the purpose of creating this Diary will have been fulfilled!

This preface and first page of my diary read August 20th 2014 , and yet I am able to post it only today to start off with with effort to bring to you some wonderful memories of life which make us stronger and let us face life with courage and challenge the odds to come out winners! Many a times we let go off our passions, our likings, our hobbies either due to our our rising responsibilities and burdens in day to day life, but today I am happy to be using what I was best at - Sketching, drawing, and writing to bring back to life those wonderful memories in time! Sitting from the quiet precincts of my "Work From Home - Office cum Work Desk" - here forth will  flow some great work of writing long embedded into my mind, and now spewing out like lava from a volcano! Not to burn but to enrich the reader with experiences that every one of us would like to hear and share!

To make it easy the posts in this blog will be labelled/ Tagged - "Personal Diary", "Along The Way", and a sub heading so you can keep track of the writings.

Your Best wishes, and blessing solicited as always!

Me at my "Work from Home - Office Cum Work Desk"
Like this image and my writings that may fade away as I do too, from your memories, the thoughts will always remain in our souls, which is immortal!

Thank you.....

Things may change from this day on,
But this is where we belong.
Someone like you there is no other,
who has walked this path all along.

You all have been in my life for quite awhile,
and when I'm down you always seem to make me smile.
That place in my heart, where you will always stay,
Hope that the good memories will never fade away.

What we'll do I really don't know,
All I know is that I hope we never let go.
You all are true friends for that is true,
and honestly, for that I thank you.

I am so glad that we are friends,
but this isn't where our journey ends.
The memories we have will last forever more,
and we’ll stay this way together I’m sure!

The Lyrical Syllables - a Foreword

The Lyrical Syllables - a Foreword

It is a very sentimental and satisfying feeling when your children grow up before your eyes and develop into their own personality which you can be proud of. And it gives even more pride and satisfaction when that child almost follows your footsteps but creates a niche for themselves. For me it is a moment of pride, privilege and immense pleasure to write this Foreword for my daughter Mansi's maiden blog. What better way to give her a launching pad of her own to step forward into this Creative world of Literature, Writing, Poetry, which I myself have been associated with for so long!

Even when she was a toddler Mansi always tugged at my clothing and climbed onto my lap as I would keep writing, blogging or doing any work on my Computer. Trying to hit a finger here or there, or just bang the hand down on the keyboard, was all a matter of happiness for  me as she would sit and slowly doze off onto my lap as I would just keep mumbling to her or rhyming a poetry or song just to make her feel as if she was part of the process of writing. Little did I know that this lovable mumbling and goo goo gaa gaa interaction with her would transform into a passion of her own. Even as she grew; never had I personally trained or taught her even about the use of the computer, keyboard, or for that matter even my deep attachment and involvement with the social media. But as time flew past I realized that she had not only picked up but bettered my performance not only in the operations but use of these media forms.

Today as I write this foreword for her maiden blog I feel a sense of satisfaction, pride and even surprise at her excellent writing, poetry, and connectivity with the social media, and her large fan following from her friends and relatives. I will not take much of your time but only wish her all the best in her writing, Blogging ,Poetry which she is now using my blogging platform to launch her work and which I will create her own launching pad as time comes for her to take on this work professionally. Mansi has a keen poetic sense, with a quick grasp of connecting word with emotions and weaving out a wonderful poetry.

I would certainly like to add that I only noticed this skill and growing passion for writing and poetry when she started receiving various awards at school for oration, poetry, article writing and other forms of art and even had quite a few of her poems and articles printed in her School Magazine. To add to this she has been receiving various prizes at Poetry and Writing competitions besides her getting "First Class" rank and achievement for Singing (Gayan) in the "Praveshika Purna" from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya Mandal.

Though I was always encouraging her in her creative skills her true potential came to light as it all started with her winning the English Debate Competitions in School, way back in 2011-12, then, winning - Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics - National Science Day - Joint 2nd prize - On the Spot Poetry Competition at the Inter-School Competition for Students on Saturday Feb' 25th 2012, which was held at the Chandrashekhar Auditorium in IUCAA- Pune, followed by 1st Prize Winner in Creative Writing in "Indradhanush, the Inter-School Competition" that was held at Sanskriti School Pune, on 26th October 2013 to highlight just a few of her notable achievements.

It is then that she also took up this passion seriously and starting channelizing her work and writing which till then were strewn helter skelter. She has now collated her work into a proper diary and through this medium of her maiden blog will try to bring to the reader some of her work which was hitherto unknown. It will be my privilege and pleasure to guide her in this work and am looking forward to getting her work published in magazines and if possible create a book of her collection of poems and writing.

I am trying my best to get her acquainted and connected with the best of the Social Media Platforms so she can herself connect with people with like minded skills and learn from them.

Just for a matter of reference you can all access her work and connect socially with her at the following Contacts, which she is still coming to terms with professionally.

More to come as she gradually connects with other media.

While wishing her the very best in her efforts I also solicit the blessings, suggestions, and guidance of all my readers who have been showering me with the same for the many years that I have been writing myself. It is only with our love, guidance and motivation that I am confident that Mansi will be able to nurture her talent and bloom into a wonderful writer / Poet her self!

The posts that follow will find Mansi portraying some of her best works for all of you to read. Your valued comments suggestions and motivation will be highly appreciated!

Wish you all the Best Mansi, May God be with you always in your every step in taking this passion forward!

Forever And Always

Forever And Always

The moment I saw a tear fall from your eye; I wished to wipe it away,
I stood there helplessly, knowing not what to say.
And then another trickled down your face,
And soon they increased their pace,
Out of all the emotions, the one that seemed clear,
Was the one you hate the most; fear.

Fear of being torn and of falling apart
Fear of all over and again breaking your heart,
But know always that I will be right here;
Not leaving ever, here to stay forever!

When you’ll fall back, you will find me,
Because that’s where I promised to be.
Forever in this way we’ll stay,
Even if sometimes we’re miles and miles away.

Promise me that I’ll never get to see those tears again
And your happiness will be real, not feign.
That lovely smile of yours shall remain plastered across your face!
Because that’s where it belongs, forever and always!

The Lyrical Syllables

Poetry is the language of the imagination and the passions. Here is a collection of my daughter Mansi's literary work which includes poems, articles, musings, and work of art all collated together. I am sure the readers will recognize her efforts and shower her with your Blessings, Best Wishes and Patronage as you have done for me!These posts have been transferred from her own Blog The Lyrical Syllables so allow me to keep posting her work continuously while she keeps creating them herself. Back to my Blogging Days!

Back to my Blogging Days!

I sincerely thank all my viewers, readers, followers, friends and relatives who have been my true motivation and strength in my profession and hobby as a blogger and writer. They have borne patiently with me my work right from the time I started as a novice until now when I am still learning from the seniors and wonderful friends who themselves are great writers.

After a long unbearable gap from my writing as a blogger I have now started once again in a big way and started posting on various topics that I have always been so attached to. Repeated mails, reminders and inquiries from my beloved friends, readers and patrons about my absence, was not only touching but truly motivational in getting me back to writing. Not that I did not want to write, but only that some pressing commitments and especially my attention to my Daughter Mansi's 10th Standard exams which I have just posted that she has Passed with flying colors were some reasons which I was distanced from my loving readers and my hobby itself.

While apologizing for the long delay in keeping my dear readers and patrons away from reading their favorite topics, I assure you that I will be posting consistently now with more interesting and trending topics.

I once again thank all of you for your love, best wishes and blessings showered on may and hope you will continue to shower those same blessings and wishes in the days to come!

I have already posted a few posts in various topics such as Vegetable and Fruit carvings, Videos, and also a Foreword to introduce and launch my daughter Mansi's Blog. Hope to be writing a lot now, so keep a watch!
